Truck
The terminal has excellent Interstate access, adjacent to I-55. There are 10 loading racks with Viking pumps that will load the trucks at 300º F, in about 14 minutes.
There are two 100,000 lb scales, one at the gatehouse and a brand new scale at one of the loading racks.
Rail
Ameropan Oil Terminal has a 5 car rail siding set up for loading and unloading. A package steam boiler is used for loading and unloading rail cars. The terminal is serviced by the CN.
Barge
Ameropan Oil Terminal is located on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal southwest of downtown Chicago . OPA and Coast Guard approved. All lines from the barge to the tanks are traced, insulated and supplied with heating which allows barges to be loaded and unloaded at 250ºF. |
